Yellow Banded Poison Frog
These are little frogs famous for their poisonous skin secretions used on arrow tips. They in part highly potent nerve toxins with a steroids structure and are used by the Amerindians as poison to kill birds and monkeys. These frogs are highly vocal, they give off humming, trilling or chirping sounds and can often be found in rock or tree stumps. |
