Moluccan Cockatoo at the London Tropical Zoo

These are undoubtedly one of the most prettiest cockatoos with their salmon pink bodies and pinky-orange crest.

They have been known to live over 80 yrs.

These birds were listed on CITIES Appendix 1 in October 1989 even though Indonesia still considers them a pest and a valuable export.

Our Moluccan Cockatoo

Mango
was re-homed to us when he was confiscated by CITES at Heathrow Airport being brought into the country illegally.

Mr Magoo
was an unwanted pet.

We are a registered animal sanctuary.
